About Us
The NFFPI was organized on June 3, 1978. Its founding President was former Director Paterno V. Viloria of the University of the Philippines Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP-ISSI).
The official logo is an abstract design of a “WINDMILL” and the letter “N” which is the first letter of NFFPI.
The NFFPI’s Thrusts:
- To work for the continuing professional development of its members
- To help maintain mutual cooperation and understanding between The Netherlands and The Philippines
Strengths of the NFFPI:
- The commitment and camaraderie of the NFFPI Board Members and some committed NFFPI members
- The full support of the University of the Philippines-Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP-ISSI)
- The full support of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in the Philippines (RNE) Networking (via e-mail) with other Netherlands Alumni Association around the world.
- Networking (via e-mail) with some learning institutes in the Netherlands
- Communication (via e-mail) with NUFFIC, The Hague, The Netherlands.

- Publication of the NFFPI Quarterly Newsletter
- Publication of the NFFPI Alumni Directory “Beyond Borders”
- Publication of the “Dutch Factor” Book, a collection of essays of Best Practices of Netherlands Alumni.
- De-briefing and Orientation of Filipino students leaving for The Netherlands
- The holding of seminars and training on developmental topics.
- The utilization of video documentary technology.
- Regular contact with the Royal Netherlands Embassy
